Dennis P. Lewis, age 34, of Elliott, Iowa passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Dennis Patrick Lewis was born March 11, 1972 in Red Oak, Iowa the son of Pat and Deana (Brownsberger) Lewis. Dennis was raised in Elliott graduating from the Griswold Community High School in 1990. While in high school Dennis was involved in the chorus, National Honor Society as a junior and was president as a senior, participated in the academic decathlon, and was quite an artist. He attended Iowa Western Community College for 2 years and then the Bellevue University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. Dennis loved to surf the web, design web pages, play poker, fish, wine tasting, visit with friends and family, and the Green Bay Packers. His motto was to “LIVE LARGE”!!!

Survivors include his parents: Pat and Deana Lewis of Elliott, Iowa; brother: Joe Lewis and wife Kim of Elliott, Iowa; nephew: Darrin Lewis of Elliott, Iowa; step-nephews: Shayne and Jared Larson of Elliott, Iowa; many aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services were held 10:30 AM Saturday, April 8, 2006 at the Elliott Church of Christ in Elliott, Iowa with Pastor Michael Hamilton officiating. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery. Visitation with the family was held from 6-8 PM Friday, April 7, 2006 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel in Red Oak.

Memorials are suggested to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Elliott Business and Betterment Association or the Dollars For Scholars at Griswold Community Schools.
